Wireless Home Security Door/Window Alarm (2-Pack)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my Defiant Wireless Home Security Door/Window Alarm (2-Pack). This is not trying to be a high money, high expectation security system. This is an effective layer in securing one's home for many reasons. I care for many young children, and no matter how well they are cared for and trained, they can go rogue at any time, without warning. While our home has a secure wifi system with front and back cameras, I strive to make our home as safe as possible. While I'm very confident on my front door system, and satisfied with the backdoor cam for those situations, neither warned me about potential distress within our own family with young children. Our backyard contains a hot tub with a locked lid, but I still believe in LAYERS OF PROTECTION, and THIS set of two alarms provides that extra layer of protection. I appreciate that this was super fast and easy to set up. It included the needed button cell battery as well! I placed it on the back door. It fits well on our standard door jam. I did need to move it down an inch or so, to the spot to where it didn't interfere with the door opening and closing. Breaking the magnetic seal, triggers the alarm. The included directions are clear and easy to follow, and it was in place in under ten minutes . I love that I can choose a super annoying loud alarm, or a lesser loud signal, along with a setting on mute. The mute setting ability is good for times of planned extra people coming in and out the door. (This set can also certainly be used on windows as well). While this could certainly give peace-of-mind to folks without any security systems, I love knowing that it'll help me to know if I need to run and secure my children, in that area, if needed. While I own our home, I can see this system being very beneficial for those who rent or travel as well.

They were easy to install and they also have great sound. The battery seems to be pretty decent though. But I'd prefer to save for a real, more decent alarm.

I've used these in the past for the gates to my yard, since I have a pool and it's a law here that you need alarms on the gates. These I used for the front door, but I may switch it to windows. Works well, and very easy to install. Would definitely recommend as a less expensive solution.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These alarms are very easy to install, took less than a half hour r. Comes with double sided tape and use a battery. The alarm has 2 different sounds, one is a constant siren and the other is similar to a doorbell chime and more softly sounds. The louder one is good because you can hear it from a distance. Overall, this product is a very affordable way to alarm your doors or windows and doesn't require you to pay any monthly fees. Great for an apartment or house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The installation process was easy once I found my own adhesive to stick it up, no adhesive strips were supplied, so that was a downside. The sound quality is good and we use the alert feature. Pretty durable, overall, we would recommend to someone needing a simple door alarm.
