X-ACTO Model 1900 Desktop Electric Pencil Sharpener, Two-Tone Gray, 1-Count

So far working nicely, I thought a lot of my pencils (which were from oriental trading) must have the lead off centered in the pencil because my sharpener only seemed to get one side sharpened well and the other side was just pointy wood. I put all those pencils in this sharpener and they all sharpened to a nice point. Hope it lasts a long time.

We are homeschoolers and needed a pencil sharpener for our classroom. 2 kids and lots of writing, so as long as it keeps on working great, like it is now, I have no complaints! It was one of the less expensive models, but still a bit pricey in my book. Hoping it lasts a long time! You still have to twist the pencil once inside the sharpener so that the tip is evenly sharp on all sides. Kid user friendly. Does what it says it'll do.

Bought this for school starting, because we lose so much time looking for and sharpening pencils for homework. Haven't had any problems with the sharpener, but I have only had a couple weeks. It seems to be durable because we have used a lot in the short time we have had it. It does with a manufacturer warranty just in case.

Inserted a pencil. It would begin to sharpen and then just quit. Unplugged it for a few seconds. Plugged it back in. It would begin to sharpen the pencil and then just quit again. I went through this cycle several times changing pencils but no change in the operation. Never got a single pencil sharpened. Returned it to local store for credit on my card.

Ok, I read all the reviews and still made the decision to buy this machine. I have owned it for about a month and it has performed as expected. I received the sharpener and immediately sharpened about 20 pencils. I don't have a class room full of kids or a pencil sharpening business and don't believe that this would be the best sharpener for that. If you are looking for a GREAT home sharpener this may be the one for you.
