long review, but worth reading. I sectioned it off based on the category.*SHIPPING* The cage arrived very quickly, and I believe it was actually delivered earlier than expected!*WEIGHT* The box is pretty heavy, so it is a lot easier to lift with another person.*ASSEMBLY* Same goes with assembling the cage, although one person can probably manage to do it alone, it is much easier with a second person. Upon assembly I did notice some slight bends in the metal, but nothing too drastic. We were still able to assemble the cage fairly easily, there were just some parts that required a little more strength. Once the cage was fully assembled, you couldnt even tell there were any bends.*STURDINESS/LOOKS* It looks very nice, and feels sturdy. In the picture you will notice some locks on the doors, these are not because the doors are flimsy or will open, those are there just as a precaution so somehow my bird does not escape and scare my roommate. I was not concerned about the smaller doors opening at all, but its better to be safe. The larger doors are very nice, one of the locks was a bit tough but nothing crazy. The tray was pretty nice, and I liked how the plastic was smooth instead of textured. Ive had textured crate trays in the past and it just makes cleaning a bit harder.*SIZE* The size of the cage is perfect for my cockatiel. You could definitely use this cage for parrots a little larger, or for multiple, smaller parrots. I did not use the pieces designed to go in the cage or perches that came with the cage. I wouldnt recommend using the long wooden perches that come with because they are linked to arthritis in birds feet. Most cages come with these, so I usually set them aside and save them incase I ever absolutely needed them. As for the pieces of metal designed to go in the cage, I did not put these in because I preferred to use ladders and other materials. I stand at 52 and this cage while on the stand is taller than me. The stand is not large, there is enough room for keeping food and some storage, which I personally prefer. What I like most is the size of the cage itself. There was enough room for me to add multiple perches, rope ladders, multiple toys, and one of those hanging spiral perches. Even with all of this in there, the cage is not overcrowded, and there is still plenty of space.*OVERALL* If there werent some bends to the metal, I wouldve given this cage 5 stars. However, due to some pieces being slightly bent and making assembly just a little harder, I have to give it 4 stars. I was nervous about buying this cage at first due to some of the reviews, but It seems most bird cages have similar problems when looking at those reviews. Im very happy that I decided to buy this cage, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a larger cage. I think the price is great for the size, as I have seen bird cages less than half the size for double the price. If you are on the fence about buying it, I would recommend buying it and if it doesnt work out there is always the option of returning. I understand buying and returning can be a hassle, but I think it is worth it when youre considering buying a quality and comfortable home for your bird.

I bought this cage for my sisters cockatiel. She said it took a while to put together because the instructions were horrible, however the end result is awesome. It was much bigger than we expected, and the cage came with perch sticks, and a rope for the bird to play with. She has plenty of space to move around, and has been getting acclimated to her upgraded digs. Prince Bowie and her humans approve of this purchase! :)

Got this cage for my two cockatiels. Plenty of space for the birds to move around. You will not be disappointed. Very sturdy and durable. Two big doors which makes it easy to clean and putting items in & out the cage. Definitely would recommend this cage.

Let me preface this review by stating that anyone who tells you one cage or another is "perfect" for your breed of bird -- well, don't trust them. It's like saying one type of house is perfect for ALL married couples. Know your bird and shop for your bird's (and your) particular needs. We have an umbrella cockatoo, and as you might know, cockatoos can be (and usually are) very loud. In our neighborhood, houses are very close together. Our solution was to completely empty a walk-in closet, line the walls with soundproofing blankets, and keep our u2's cage in there. (We are both retired, so we're able to give him lots of time and attention out of cage.) BTW, we also installed a Wi-Fi light bulb. So when he starts getting squawky, we can use our Google Assistant and tell it to turn off his light for one minute. That's usually enough to quiet him down.In searching for a new cage, we had very specific requirements. First of all, the doorway to his "room" is pretty narrow, so the depth of the cage was #1 in importance. Additionally, our u2 hates any kind of cage-top play stand, so we wanted a plain cage with a simple flat top. Also, any cage with a cutesy top, like a rounded top or a top that looks like a house, etc., are just wasted space. The bird doesn't go up there and it adds nothing to the function of the cage. We also wanted a cage with a door large enough for our u2 to go in and come out easily. With all that said, we decided on the Yaheetech 69-Inch Extra Large Bird Cage. We've bought Yaheetech bird cages before and were very satisfied with them. For assembly, I'd recommend going on YouTube and finding the Yaheetech installation guide. It's very helpful and you can pause as you proceed in assembling your bird cage. I found it amusing that the instructions recommend "at least one person" for assembly. (Are there really any self-assembling bird cages out there??) I recommend two people. It's a large cage and it's difficult for just one person to assemble. The one major challenge in the assembly process resulted from a defective part. One of the lower side panels of the cage (see photo) had an extra bar which did not have a corresponding hole to insert it, so I ended up having to bend the bar outward with pliers so that the piece could be assembled. On that same component, the bottom part which provides support for the grate was bent, thus preventing me from inserting the bottom grate to complete assembly. At that point, I was quite frustrated with the panel and just got a hammer to bang it into submission.Once the cage was assembled, however, I was thrilled with it. It's HUGE and gives my u2 plenty of room. (I put the two horizontal platforms in the cage to one side, but left the ladders out. I also moved the "poop tray" and put it on the shelf which is located on the bottom stand of the cage. The tray that is provided would otherwise be too close to my bird and, like any cockatoo, he would probably spend a lot of time reaching through the grate to tear the paper and make a huge mess. Another thing I like about this cage is that the "poop tray" is plastic. The benefit is that when poop, food, or other spills soak through whatever paper you line it with, just hose it out and it's clean. With a metal tray, it would eventually start to rust it out. Also, I zip-tied the slide-up doors (there are 10 of them!) or my little escape artist would be out in no time. (I'm not using the food/water bowls included with the cage as they just wouldn't work for our bird.)Overall, we love this cage. It's enormous and our bird will have plenty of room. If Yaheetech would just fix that one manufacturing defect, it would be five stars all the way!

The cage was much easier to put together than what was reported in other reviews. It took me just over 30 minutes to set it up and get it ready for my Parakeets. They love the added room and are enjoying the extra flying space. Worth the time and a good value for the money.
