ZonePerfect Protein Bars | Chocolate Almond Raisin | 5 Bars

I switched to eating Zone Perfect bars from Builder Bars when Builder Bars changed their formula 6 months ago. The new Builder Bars were dry and tasted off. In addition they caused gas pains shortly after eating them which many people have attributed to the addition of hickory root extract. For awhile I was happy to have found an alternative bar, but these most recent changes to the Zone Perfect bar have left them tasting just as dry and off as the Builder Bars. In addition the new Zone Perfect bars include hickory root extract which seems to once again be giving me stomach issues.

These were my favorite protein bars, but the latest box I bought (Jan 2020) left me really disappointed. The flavor is different, the texture isn't as chewy, it seems like there's pockets of air in the bars rather than being consistent throughout, and there's more fat and calories to boot. I guess this will finally break my Zone bar addiction, because I won't be buying them anymore. :(

These were my favorite Protein Bars for several years until my most recent purchases. The company has obviously cheapened the bar significantly in a recent change, so these taste like an entirely different bar than before. It no longer has the same strong peanut butter flavor or moist, chewy texture. The bars now have an odd burnt flavor, are very dry, and have odd inconsistent crunchy textures. Very disappointed that they changed the bar while keeping the same name... I thought I was buying the same PB bar I've been buying for years, but was very disappointed when it is obviously a very different recipe now. It tastes much cheaper and synthetic.

I first bought these at least 10 years ago and have been hooked ever since. I eat one every single morning and i still look forward to waking up every morning to eat one. The Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough bar is hands down amazing and i seriously wouldn't know what to do without them. Please never discontinue it, my mornings would never be the same. Love these bars <3

I went on dialysis over a month ago and the diet is very frustrating because I can't eat a lot of my favorite foods anymore. But, they gave me one of these at the dialysis clinic and it tastes like Heaven! Incredible tasting and a VERY healthy snack!
