If you are in search of a highly fragrant water lily for your pond or water garden, look no further than the Water Lily Alba. Large, white, cup-shaped blooms float effortlessly on the water just above green, nearly circular-shaped leaves that are notched in the center. The white flowers with bright yellow stamens bloom from June through August, and the flowers remain open from mid-morning until late afternoon and last several days. No pond or water garden is complete without at least one Water Lily Alba. The plant itself will help supply oxygen to the water while assisting in minimizing algae blooms. They're pre-planted in a weighted net bag to protect the tuber from being eaten by fish. Simply drop the plant in the desired place in the pond. Water Lily Alba is winter hardy, and once placed in the pond it will survive harsh winters as long as the tuber remains below the ice level of the pond. Dormancy will end when the water warms.
