Heavy one piece steel frame will hold its shape for a long, long time, yet light enough to prevent Shipper's Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. All metal tape locator plate stays open when you load and unload the roll, yet closed when you use the tape. Less down-time changing rolls. The handle is molded to ergonomic shape of ABS plastic, to fit your hand like a dream and make these guns less tiring to use. Unlike inexpensive Chinese guns these do not contain PAH (Poly-cyclic aromatic hydrocarbon), a a polluting and potentially cancer-causing substance used to make rubber softer. Heavy duty core with adjustable metal break. No need to "brake" the tape with your thumb to slow it down; so applying the tape requires less effort. And the fiberglass reinforced nylon wipe down blade completes the process, rubbing the tape to close the carton properly. All rollers are made of rubber (not plastic). Heavy duty and VERY sharp toothed blade is made of tempered steel. These teeth don't bend with day to day normal use. Much less effort is needed to cut the tape, even product as thick as 3 mils.
