100 grams of lab grade Agar, used as a base to create Nutrient Agar or Tryptic Soy Agar for the cultivation and study of bacterial samples. Agar comes dehydrated in a plastic open-mouth bottle for convenient storage. Each bottle comes with an SDS, providing safe handling and storage information.

BASE FOR GROWTH MEDIUM || 100g bottle of general purpose, powdered bacterial growth medium base. Add ingredients (not included) to make Nutrient Agar or Tryptic Soy Agar. EASY TO PREPARE || Simply mix medium with deionized water, desired nutrients, and bring to a boil while stirring to ensure medium is completely dissolved. Pour into petri dishes or culture tubes, then allow medium to cool and harden. EXCELLENT FOR LABORATORIES AND CLASSROOMS || Ideal for use in general biology and microbiology laboratories and classrooms. APPLICATIONS || This product is used as a base to make Nutrient Agar or Tryptic Soy Agar. It contains no nutrients and will not grow cultures without additional ingredients (not included).
