M-Audio announced the release of the new Code Series keyboards,available in three sizes; 25, 49, and 61 keys. The family of Code Seriescontrollers features a smooth-feeling, semi-weighted keybed withafter-touch, 16 velocity-sensitive pads with LED feedback, and a touchpad for X/Y axis control. Other features include assignable pitch andmod wheels, knobs, faders, buttons (with macro ASCII support), andtransport control with Mackie Control and HUI emulation modes. The CodeSeries is USB powered for portability and ease of use and offers asix-digit LED screen. A five-pin MIDI input and output allow for theconnection and control of outboard MIDI gear. The keyboards offer fourassignable splits, with expression and sustain pedal inputs. Inaddition, the Code Series ships with a comprehensive software packageincluding Ableton Live Lite and AIR Music Technology’s Loom and Hybrid 3synthesizers.
