The AcuRite Iris (5-in-1) Wireless Weather Station measures indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity, rainfall and rainfall history, wind speed and direction, and barometric pressure — all on an easy-to-read, illuminated color display. Plus, as part of patented AcuRite technology, you’ll receive a self-calibrated, hyperlocal forecast for 12 hours from current conditions that is generated from weather data measured by a sensor in your backyard. By using your backyard data, this home weather station gives you the most accurate forecast available for your exact location, a bit like a storm glass… but with more bells and whistles! The PC Connect feature delivers your weather data to your PC and allows you to stream your data online so you can monitor conditions remotely from a web browser or mobile device using the My AcuRite website or app. You can also set programmable weather alerts for the following conditions: temperature, humidity, wind, rain, dew point, heat index, and storm alerts — so you’ll always be aware of incoming an incoming tempest. This weather station is more advanced than a simple indoor/outdoor thermometer, as there is also a customizable weather ticker that streams real-time information, such as feels like temperature, high and low temperature records, moon phase, indoor humidity high and low records, and low battery alerts. You’ll have all the weather data you need to make your own weather center and can boast to your neighbors that you have the best weather station! Weather records are included for highs and lows for today, the week, month, and year are included with a trend arrow. Say goodbye to your old-school anemometers and wind vanes! Wind speed information includes current, peak, and average (mph, kph, or knots), and there is a 16-point wind rose to show the wind direction. The outdoor wireless device measures rain and rainfall history (inches or millimeters), which can be viewed on the display. The display includes a built-in barometer to provide barometric pressure readings with a trend arrow, and is viewable next to the heat index, wind chill, and dew point depending on conditions. The display can also act as a weather clock, exhibiting the time, month, date, and year. You can choose between English or French on the display, which can be wall-mounted or set on a tabletop for easy, at-a-glance viewing. Use the wireless signal strength indicator to determine the strength of your wireless outdoor weather station device signal from your backyard, as the display must be within 330 feet of the outdoor device. The wireless technology uses a 433 MHz signal that transmits data through walls! A mounting bracket is included for easy outdoor device installation, and the automatic self-emptying rain collection cup makes measuring rainfall a breeze.
