The AIRAID 451-260 Cold Air Dam (CAD) Intake System is a performance-focused upgrade for 2010–2013 Ford Taurus SHO and Ford Flex models equipped with the 3.5L EcoBoost Turbo engine. Designed to replace the restrictive factory intake system, this CAD setup retains the factory intake tube while enhancing airflow with a premium open-element dry red air filter. The system incorporates Cold Air Dam panels that mount in the factory air box location and help shield the filter from hot engine air. By drawing in cooler outside air, the system improves combustion efficiency, resulting in increased horsepower, torque, and throttle response. The SYNTHAMAX® dry synthetic filter is washable and reusable, requiring no oil for maintenance. Installation is simple and requires no tuning, making it a convenient performance upgrade.
