It is backwards compatible with Game Boy. "Z" is just one ant among millions in his ant colony. So, his chance of catching the Princess Bala's eyes are pretty slim, after all she is a princess and he is just a worker ant. Oh, and there's just one more catch, she's destined to marry the evil General Mandible. If he can manage to defeat the General then maybe "Z" will become a true hero and win over the princess's heart. In his heroic quest to win her heart, "Z" fights a termite colony, impersonates a soldier ant, and runs away to Insectopia facing many adventures and dangers along the way.
