Bloomsz Nymphaea Water Plant Lily Chromatella, Root / Flower Bulb

Rounded olive green leaves splashed with purple that fades with age characterize the Water Lily Chromatella. Sweet-smelling canary yellow blossoms six to seven inches in diameter remain open longer than most other varieties of water lily. Also known as the "Golden Cup" due to its cup-shaped flowers, Water Lily Chromatella adds interest when placed among other varieties of water lilies in the pond or water garden. Chromatella adapts readily to any size pond or water garden and can even be grown successfully in tubs or barrels. The plant itself will help supply oxygen to the water while assisting in minimizing algae blooms. It comes pre-planted in a weighted net bag to protect the tuber from being eaten by fish. Simply drop the plant in the desired place in the pond. Water Lily Chromatella is winter hardy, and once placed in the pond it will survive harsh winters as long as the tuber remains below the ice level of the pond. Dormancy will end when the water warms.
