I bought this model as a replacement for one I bought 3 years ago. The wiring harness was different, which was concerning. The old unit lasted only 3 years before the sound stopped working. The new one didn't work at all. Despite the good price, the quality seems lacking in my experience.
One product I bought in May 2021 for over $200 turned out to be garbage. It didn't work properly and even ate my CD. I had to return it. I regret buying another one because it doesn't keep time, the Bluetooth is bad, and the volume knob is already failing after less than a year. I don't recommend it.
I was disappointed with this unit. The phone feature connects well but lacks a built-in microphone, forcing me to use my phone's mic. The CD playback inserts a two-second space between tracks, ruining the experience for genres like jazz and audiobooks. It's overpriced and not worth it.
I love everything about the radio. It fit almost perfectly with my factory touchscreen and navigation panel. I spliced the wires for the controls and made the plug longer to move the panel to the side. Running the ground, power, and remote wires was simple. Wiring the stereo output to an aux cord and plugging it into the center console was all I needed to do. It was the easiest install I've ever done.
I found the audio adjustments lacking in this head unit, with a basic equalizer. However, it sounds good overall and the touch screen is accurate. Bluetooth connection is quick, but there is some distortion at high volumes from the built-in amp. The video output is excellent. Overall, it's a good value for the price.
