The Gallien-Krueger MB Combo series has taken the concept of the combo amp to a new level. Players are no longer forced to sacrifice portability and effortless setup when they leave their practice space and head for the stage. The Gallien-Krueger MBP powered enclosures allow the MB Combo user to further expand the performance of their amplifier to create the ultimate “combo rig.” Gallien-Krueger MBP powered enclosures have the ability to double your output when used with your MB combo or MB head. For example, an MB410 combo has an output of 500 watts into its internal speakers. When used in conjunction with the 410MBP, the total output is doubled to 1000 watts. In addition, higher powered MBP cabinets can be used in conjunction with lower powered MB combos or heads to add extra output when necessary. MBP powered cabinets are designed specifically for use with MB series combos and heads only. MBP powered cabinets can be used to expand a rig that is running currently at it’s 4 ohm minimum load (one 4 ohm or two 8 ohm cabinets). MBP powered cabinets can be used with an MB head or MB210 combo while either model is driving a passive extension cabinet from their speakon output. MB combos are only equipped with a chain output to drive the MBP cabinets. All level and EQ settings are sent from the MB combo to the MBP from the chain output. Multiple MBP powered cabinets can be connected via the chain in/chain output on each MBP cabinet.
