The Goldline 500 Bass Amp Head The Goldline 500 was developed by Gallien-Krueger to complement the look and tone of the GLX series bass enclosures. It features a 500-watt, solid state amplifier and a foot-switchable boost "valve effect" channel. Gate-Induced Valve Effect, or G.I.V.E. technology, was developed by Bob Gallien in 1972 and is part of what gives G-K its distinctive sound. This amplifier is made using the same quality components as G-K's professional products, such as a high-current power supply for maximum punch and a toroidal transformer for greater efficiency. The adjustable contour and active four-band EQ make it simple to dial in a great sound. Goldline audio speakers are designed to deliver a rich, warm, golden tone with a little extra sparkle in the top end. Front slot-porting is used for enhanced low bass response. Gallien Krueger has given special care to the cabinet design in order to eliminate standing waves so that nothing gets in the way of your performance. The result is a thick low-end with a smooth, even response across the entire frequency spectrum.
