Guitar Noir is the San Francisco band's 4th album, following last year's acclaimed Nomad release. Here the Aqua Velvets combine their signature sound with some of their favorite film composers of the '50s and '60s - e.g. John Barry (James Bond) and Bernard Herrmann (Hitchcock) - to create a new body of work that continues to explore and shape the sound of modern instrumental music. Part Jack Kerouac and part Dashiel Hamett, Guitar Noir captures the moods and shadows of life after dark in the naked city.
