The vast majority of patients do not use their inhalers correctly. Good technique involves sustained breathing-in (inhalation) after the actuation of your MDI. Most people hesitate or interrupt their inhalation while or immediately after activating their inhaler. The purpose of the MDI Tutor is to assist you in using your inhaler, thus ensuring that you get the maximum benefit from your medicine. The Tutor has a whistle designated to remind you to use the proper inhalation technique.

For use with Allen and Hanburys, Schering, and Warrick, metered dose inhalers. Single patient use. Contains MDI Tutor Mouthpiece and cap, usage and care instructions. Metered dose inhaler not included. The Tutor has a whistle designed to remind you to use the proper inhalation technique. Usage Instructions: 1) Remove the end cap from your inhaler and insert the mouthpiece of the inhaler into the back of the MDI Tutor. Shake the device firmly. 2) Remove the end cap of the MDI Tutor. 3) Place the MDI Tutor in your mouth and close your lips and teeth around the mouthpiece. 4) Breathe out fully through your mouth. 5) Breathe in slowly and deeply for 5 to 10 seconds (you should hear the MDI Tutor whistle) and fully depress the top of the metal canister with your index finger when you hear the whistle.
