The incomparable George Burns and Gracie Allen star in this hilariously clever romp about a millionaire who signs over his fortune to his ditzy daughter. Burns plays legal advisor to a rich retiree with two daughters, Phyllis and Gracie (Betty Furness and Allen). When he suspects that Phyllis' husband-to-be is after his money, he deeds every cent over to Gracie, much to everyone's surprise. Convinced that the family is truly poor, Gracie sets about cutting salaries and household corners. To make matters worse, while the chef is cooking in his bare feet and George is sleeping in the park, she has invited a whole slew of vaudevillians to come reside at the mansion. And, amid the melee, she is successfully being propositioned by her sister's conniving fiance. Can her family and friends stop the madness, or will they all end up begging in the streets?.
