What You Will Need: Cookie Mix: 3 tbsp butter (softened); 2 tbsp water; rolling pin; cookie sheet; parchment paper. Icing Mix: 1-3/4 cups powdered sugar; 2 tablespoons margarine; 2 tablespoons warm water. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Step 1 - Place softened butter into mixing bowl. Using an electric mixer beat on medium speed until fluffy, approximately 1 minute. Step 2 - Add egg and beat until well blended. Add contents of the cookie mix packet and mix on medium speed until smooth dough forms, about 2 minutes. Step 3 - On a lightly floured surface, form a ball and roll out dough with rolling pin to 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch thickness. Step 4 - Using the snowflake cookie cutter, cut out shapes and place onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Step 5 - Bake in preheated 350 degrees oven for 7-10 minutes, or until edges begin to turn a golden brown. Remove from oven and place cookies on a wire rack to cool. Repeat until all the dough is used. Step 6 - While cookies are baking, place icing mix and powdered sugar in a mixing bowl. Add margarine and warm water. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds and then at medium speed for 1-2 minutes. If icing is too thick, add a small amount of water, if icing is too thin, add additional powdered sugar.
