The solid cast iron bases have leveling glides to prevent the table from wobbling on uneven floors. The steel has a 3" diameter and is made of 16 gauge steel. The top and base are all shipped in one box. Easy to assemble. The matching dining chairs each have a 2" upholstered seat . The frames have a powder coated finish and have rear and side stacking bars for added support. The chairs also easily stack when not in use.
