Lainez Yodoclorina 10 tablets (Pack of 24)

Lainez Yodoclorina is an anti-diarrheal medication. It comes in convenient single-dose envelopes. The medication can treat all types of intestinal upset, including traveler's diarrhea, food poisoning, simple stomach upset, cholera, and parasites such as giardia. Lainez Yodoclorina contains furazolidone, a nitrofuran antibacterial and antiprotozoal agent. It is immediately effective against a broad range of organisms that cause diarrhea. It is not effective against viruses that cause diarrhea such as noraviruses. Consult a doctor for help in determining the cause of any severe case of diarrhea. Adults and children older than 12 years of age should take 1 dose four times a day for 5 to 7 days. Younger children should take 1/2 dose, three to four times a day, for 5 to 7 days. To treat giardia, continue treatment for 10 days in total. Overdoses may cause tremors and male infertility. Do not give to infants younger than 1 month of age because it may cause severe anemia in newborns. The safety of this medication during pregnancy and breast-feeding is unknown.
