The Magellan MiVue 420 DashCam is a high quality camera that records video in crystal clear Super HD (2304x1296). The MiVue 420 provides drivers with security and peace of mind by capturing unexpected events while on the road and inside the vehicle with the included rotating mount. The large 2.7" hi-definition display makes it easy to play back and watch recorded footage on the unit. The MiVue 420 comes with an intuitive user interface making it simple to set up and, once plugged into your vehicle's power connector, begins recording in a continuous loop. In addition to the exceptional Super HD recording resolution the MiVue 420 captures the entire picture with a wide 140�� Field of View (FOV), records at 30FPS and provides excellent video quality at night and in low to high light conditions because of the f\1.8 and Wide Dynamic Range features. An 8GB microSD card is included and the camera is compatible with 128GB class 4 microSD. You can record over 21 hours of video when using a 128GB card. Accidents are a part of driving. The MiVue 420's G - Sensor continually monitors the vehicle's 3 axis movement. If the vehicle is hit or quickly changes directions, the sensor tells the camera to lock the video from 15 seconds before the incident occurred to 50 seconds after. The Magellan MiVue 420 DashCam also captures and displays the date, time, speed, and GPS coordinates (latitude and longitude) on the saved video. If you need to take photos, the MiVue 420 can even work as a digital camera. Just disconnect the front camera from the mount and start taking still photos of any damage or paperwork. Beautiful scenery, crossing wildlife, outrageous behavior, and other unexpected events also occur while driving. With the MiVue 420 drivers can capture these events and with a press of a button, protect the footage from being recorded over. So you'll have evidence to share with friends and family in person or via your social media connections. The Magellan MiVue 420 Dashcam provides security even while you are away from the vehicle. The Parking Mode feature records incidents while your vehicle is parked. When engaged the front facing camera automatically begins to record if the camera senses any motion or car movement. If your car is equipped with a continuous powered connector the MiVue 420 will record for the entire length of time you are away from the vehicle. If your vehicle does not have a continuously powered connector, Parking Mode will operate for 30 minutes, when the unit is fully charged. The MiVue 420 comes with a host of features designed to assist drivers while on the road. Lane Departure and Forward Collision Warnings are accident avoidance features that you can customize to alert you as your vehicle either starts to leave your lane or gets too close to a vehicle in front of you. Safety Camera Alerts warn you of traffic cameras nearby. Speed Limit and Cruise Speed features help you maintain safe driving speeds. Driver Fatigue Alert can be customized to various lengths of driving time and warn you when it's time to take a break. As the sun goes down, Headlight Reminder monitors the amount of visible light and reminds you to turn on your headlights.
