This Premier Orchestral Series 4.3-Octave Marimba provides an inimitable sound adored in concert halls across the globe. The warm yet striking tone of these instruments sounds fabulous in symphonic, brass bands, multi-percussion and solo repertoire. This Premier Marimba features wide note bars constructed of high-quality Honduras rosewood. They are 'stretch' tuned so that they become progressively sharper as you move up the instrument, which is more pleasing to the ear than basic equal temperament tuning. All tuning is carried out electronically in carefully controlled conditions of temperature and humidity in the UK. The excellent note bar sound is improved further by the resonator cap-settings, which have been calculated scientifically for optimum acoustic output. The marimba features a redesigned frame that is fully height adjustable and disassembles into four pieces plus resonators and note bars for easier transportation. Comes complete with cover.
