Ramp Edges with Loops work as transition from concrete or other hard surfaces to interlocking floor tiles. There are 2 types of ramp edges: Ramp Edges with 6 Loops and without Loops. The names refer to the loops on the long side of the ramp edge. As the tiles are modular, you can select type of edge for your installation. Ramp Edges with Loops are needed when the installation starting point is at the entrance or opening of the room being tiled. Most garage floor installations use ramp edges only on the entrance of the garage for the vehicles to smoothly move from concrete driveway to interlocking tile floor. Ramp Edges without Loops are needed when the installation starting point is at the rear of the room being tiled (garage, patio, deck), so that floor tiles are oriented such that loops are pointing toward opening of the room and opposite corner from where you are beginning. Note: 2 adjacent sides of the garage floor mat will have 6 loops and the other 2 sides will NOT have loops.
