Romance is in full bloom on board the station during the annual Bajoran Gratitude Festival. But while Kira's (Nana Visitor) meeting with Bareil (Philip Anglim) is sweet, O'Brien's (Colm Meaney) reunion with Keiko (Rosalind Chao) is strained. To make matters worse, Lwaxana Troi (Majel Barrett) arrives and tries to seduce Odo (Rene Auberjonois). Unfortunately, he can't escape her clutches and neither can anyone else. It seems the Betazoid ambassador is suffering from a telepathic virus which projects her amorous feelings onto others, amplifying their subconscious attractions. Soon Jake (Cirroc Lofton) is chasing Kira, Kira is chasing Bareil, Bareil wants Dax (Terry Farrell), Dax wants Sisko (Avery Brooks), and Sisko just wants to know what's going on.
