Star Trek - Deep Space Nine: Liife Support

After an accident nearly destroys a Bajoran transport, Vedek Bareil (Philip Anglim) arrives at the station severely injured. Kai Winn (Louise Fletcher) reveals that they were en route to a secret meeting to initiate peace talks with the Cardassians. Miraculously, Bashir (Siddig El Fadil) is able to revive Bareil, but as the negotiations begin, it becomes clear that without his help any hope of peace will die. Unfortunately, the experimental drug Bashir used to save Bareil is also destroying his internal organs. To avoid further damage, Bashir suggests he be put in stasis, but Bareil refuses. As the peace talks reach a critical stage, the damage becomes irreversible and Bareil may have to pay the ultimate price for peace.
