Worf's brother Kurn (Tony Todd) arrives at the station disgraced, dishonored and an outcast, having lost his seat on the Klingon High Council due to Worf's (Michael Dorn) defection from the Empire. Kurn demands that Worf perform the Mauk-to'Vor, a death ritual in which, by killing Kurn, Worf will restore his brother's lost honor. Meanwhile, Sisko (Avery Brooks) grows suspicious of some Klingon "military exercises" located just outside Bajoran space. When Worf realizes the Klingons are laying a cloaked minefield in order to cut off Bajor from the rest of the Federation, he enlists his brother's aid and the Sons of Mogh join forces for one final battle.
