The Yamaha Steve Gadd Signature Snare Drum realizes the deep, tight, expressive sound that Steve has lent to countless recordings and performances. 1.2mm Nickel-plated steel shell The steel shell is bright, but the nickel plating adds a touch of warmth to make this a versatile drum for almost any musical situation. Black, 10-lug vintage wood hoops The wood hoops warm the drum up even more and give you a crisp cross stick for ballads and Latin grooves. The snare side hoop is cut to a decagonal (10 sided) shape to fit a standard snare stand. 35 degree bearing edges This fattens up the sound of the drum for a strong back beat. 3.5mm snare bed The extra deep snare bed lets you put less tension on the snares for a wet sound while reducing the sympathetic vibration from the kick and toms.
