The American Spirit Sport Whistle

So I got both of these whistles o had a problem with one one it was the black one when it I opened it the black one was broken and didn't work I don't Recommend getting this one so for me one star

I bought four to add to adventure packs for grandchildren so haven't taken them out of package. But I have a feeling Christmas could be very loud and it will be parents screaming at me!

Takes way too much air to make a loud sound. If in a weakened state, you may not be heard.

I bought two of these solid brass whistles for use while kayaking and boating. Both whistles were defective-neither one made anything more than an empty "Whoosh!" sound. What a huge disappointment! I'm going to shop for a basic plastic whistle. I don't want to be let down again by another attempt to get lucky with one of these.

I honestly do not understand the reason for a negative review. I'm a referee at an "Olympics style" party every year and these are perfect. Yes I'm not a professional ref but these are just fine. I don't really understand how they can be any better honestly. I prefer the metal one since I feel more official with it. :)
