When I started my search for my daughter's convertible car seat I started looking at the Baby Bargins book I had that rated things. This car seat had an A rating and when looking around the internet about it I also saw good reviews/ratings online too!!! I bought this car seat for my daughter who is 8 1/2 months. I tried her in it once already to make sure she liked it and it fit her well. She loved it even fell asleep within 5 minutes of being in it!! I also have used this car seat on my 3 year old niece and she loved sitting in it which made me happy that my daughter would still be able to sit in it and love it at 3 even!! It is a little big but I have a big SUV so the space isn't a problem with us. I would highly recommend this car seat to anyone!! It has plenty of room to allow your child to grow and still fit in it. I LOVE that it has a lock system to hold the belts or latch system securely knowing your car seat won't ever loosen!! And to never have to manually move the straps again won't hurt my feelings either! I love the whole package that comes with this car seat!!

This is a great car seat, very comfortable and fits well into my sante fe. I love that it reclines and has a removable cushion. It also has a balancing ball in the middle that makes it easier to to place it in your car correctly. The only downside is that when you buckle the baby into the seat it can catch the babies skin if he has fat little thighs, you just have to be careful. I just loosen the straps a little more so I dont have this problem.

I bought this exact car seat in a different design for my daughter when she was 11 months old, a year and a half ago. She is now 2 and I am pregnant again and I will DEFINITELY buy this car seat for my new child! I love this pattern because we are waiting to find out the gender and this will work perfect! The reason I say this is the best car seat on the market is because I did months of research before choosing on a car seat when I bought my daughters. This car seat is side impact tested and very safe. I LOVE LOVE LOVE how easy this car seat is to handle! It is a tad bit heavy but if you're just putting it in the car then you'll be fine. The head rest is awesome with a handle on it and easy to take off and put on. The straps blew me and my family away at how easy they are to adjust! Just pull the tabs and move, no rethreading, literally takes about 10 seconds. The buckles are safe and easy enough for adults hands (my little hands and my dad's big hands both maneuver these buckles easily) but not too easy for little hands (like when my 2 year old screams and pushes and pulls in every attempt to get out but can't get the buckles undone...she loves this car seat "MY CAR SEAT" but hates being in the car for more than 15 minutes. period.). The straps adjust very easily with the bottom pull adjustment, although this might be hard to do in rear facing, it's still a very easy process in forward facing. My two most favorite features are how EASY it is to switch from rear facing to forward facing with a simple flip of the big lever thing on the bottom and it's done. Just turn it around!!! The very, very best is how well the latch system and seat belt system work together. Whether rear or forward facing the seat has built in latches that hold the buckle in place, VERY well and when coupled with the latch system and done tightly the seat is put very well in place. I have never had a wreck with my child but I have no doubt that were that to happen, she would be very safe and secure. Which is why my new child will get the same treatment :) Did I mention this car seat is amazingly easy to wash?! Simply has 4 straps to unhook in the back and then just snaps on & off the base of the seat! I machine wash and put it in the dryer, still works perfect for me after a year and a half!

I got this as a gift for my daughter's first birthday coming up. She is still under the recommended age and weight for forward facing, so we had to install rear facing. We have an older Dodge Durango, and the seat fit just fine rear facing, as long we removed the headrest. No way it would fit with it. BUT, installation rear facing is a PAIN IN THE REAR if you choose to use the lock-offs. In order to use the lock-offs, you have to unsnap the seat cover at the front bottom of the seat, and pull back over the arm rests. The lock-offs already have the latch belt running through them, and the addition of two layers of seat belt makes them INCREDIBLY hard to lock-off. Once I finally got both locked, I realized it was going to be IMPOSSIBLE to re-snap the seat cover. I pulled it back down as snug as I could get it, but the car seat was so snug in place against the back of the truck seat that snapping it back in place was just not going to happen. Not a big deal for the actual use of the car seat, though. After moving it back and forth a few times between my Durango and my husband's truck, I realized that if your seat belt has a locking function then you don't need the lock-offs on the car seat, thus eliminating the entire problem. And once the seat is turned around front facing it would not be a problem either. One other small complaint is that the seat is rather wide. Great for overall comfort, but not so great when my daughter falls asleep and the sides are so far away, she has nothing to rest her head on. Overall, this is a great seat. Lightweight for moving between vehicles, breathable so she doesn't sweat in the summer heat, and the insert would be great for smaller babies. Would have given it 5 stars except for the issue with rear installation using the lock-offs. Great buy at any price.

Basically, what everyone says on their reviews is true. You MUST read the entire manual before trying to install it! Also, there is absolutely NO WAY to tighten the straps when it is locked in place, rear facing. However, it looks to be roomy & comfy for our 8 month old! We actually bought 2 of these, one for each of our vehicles. In my husband's truck, I don't think we could get enough phone books or towels under it to really tilt back. She only rides in that one for about 2 minutes every day, so not too big of a deal! Sits just fine in my Traverse.
