They claim that the ladder can handle up to 250 pounds, I weight 227 and it buckles under my weight, feels like its going to snap. They don't tell you until you open it that you need 40 pounds of sand to fill the outside legs and you can't just get a bag of leveling sand at the hardware store (it's to moist). You need to get the sand and dry it out so it can be poured into the small openings in the legs, the damp leveing sand clumps up on the opening. I'm probably going to build a wooden frame around the ladder for support.

i bought this ladder because i am heavy not hard to put together but does not tell you that a stabilizer bar at the bottom is needed first time i got out as i was trying to turn around to get down the ladder tied to the side then the leg bent and you know the rest. company does not do returns after you open the box. so a defective item is on you. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM AND WALMART SHOULD NOT SELL THEM. also the rails on top are not solid, they bend

I purchased this ladder last summer and forgot to write a review. When I opened my pool this summer (2015), I remembered how disappointed I was with this ladder. When I climbed the ladder the side braces bend a lot and I feel like any time now they will break. For what this cost me I expected something a lot more sturdy.

The pre-made holes in the ladder do not line up properly...You have to use a drill to make new holes in order to get it all to line up...I had to return this item...
