The Pioneer Woman Frontier Speckle Aluminum 12-inch Everyday Pan, Turquoise

I bought this pan six or eight months ago because I wanted a big new fry pan to cook stuff like bacon, french toast, grilled cheese sandwiches, pancakes... that kind of stuff. I wanted a pan with a lot of room at the bottom. I even considered a 14" skillet, but figured that might be too big... take up too much room on the stovetop. So today I saw this pan sitting in the bottom of the cabinet, under a bunch of other pans I don't use much and I pulled it out. Now I remember why I never use it. Because even though it's a 12" skillet, THE FLAT BOTTOM, THE PART YOU FRY ON, IS ONLY EIGHT INCHES ACROSS. It has a 2" curve on all sides, and is over 3' tall, and is great for making stews and chilis and stir fry, but that's about all.

love this skillet!! as others have mentioned the lid doesnt quite fit properly on it, which really isn't a problem for me but i can see why it would be for some, and certainly disappointing. but i found this in the clearance aisle and for the price i paid it's completely worth it. the pan is non-stick of course, and it seems to truly be quite a nice non-stick. i find that sometimes non-stick items do in fact stick a bit. the color is lovely and matches my large stew pot and tea kettle, which is a nice bonus. i like it even more because the color is flecked instead of solid, like a robin's egg. i love how deep it is, keeps more of the mess off my stove. i've had this for a few months now and it has been my go-to pan any time i need one!

I really like this pan. Its very large so its perfect for frying chicken which is why I purchased it. The sides are sloped so if you want a flat frying pan thus probably isn't for you. It washes beautifully and coordinates with my red Pioneer Woman cookware.

Okay, this thing is WIERD! I was searching for a 12-inch pan WITH A LID. When received it --- well, it is like a big bowl...this is 12 inches. I was so upset but it look great and lid fit so nicely. Now, I seem to keep grabbing it to use over and over and over. Soups in smaller batches, nice meat dishes with some sauce....is like a WOK but flatter and handle on other end is a big help. AFTER ALL, LOVE THIS AND WOULD RECOMMEND!!

Liked ree Drummond NOT her skillet!! Dished form is more like a wok everything slides to middle and the sides are so high I am constantly burning my arms! Also sticks ????? Even though it is almost new. Went back to using my old skillet and use this for baking like a dutch oven.
