The Polar Express

When Christmas memories mean so much ; something like this can't be beat.

My local stores had this for $15.99 and it was only $9.99 online with free shipping to home! The movie is my son's favorite. I knew he would love the book, too. I also wanted this special edition bc it came with a special cd (the story was read aloud) & a 'cardboard ornament'. The guy who read the story was mediocre & the ornament was a flat silver round ornament with a print of the PE & Conductor. I was expecting a cardboard fold out of the train. This part too was a bit pitiful. But all in all the book was worth the $10. :)

Beautiful book as a gift, with a CD narrated by Liam Nielsen, and an ornament in the back. ALL Aboard!!!!My grand nephew loves this book. Was a wonderful gift. I found the best price with Walmart ship to store.

I have an almost 3-yr. old grandson that loves all trains, but the Polar Express in particular. He has watched the movie many, many times. I thought the book would be great for him this Christmas, however; I was very disappointed after looking through the book once received. I expected this book to have pictures that would depict the movie, but instead it showed page after page of landscape/terrain that the train traveled through on its way to the North Pole. Most of the Polar Express movie took place on the train but there are only 2 pages that show pictures on the train and they are not very good (1 with kids sitting and 1 with waiters serving hot chocolate). They don't even show the conductor in any of the pages/pictures. I will still give this book to my grandson but only because I don't want to return it.

the polor express is our new favorite book and movie.....i love it just as much as my grandchildren and i wanted to purchase the book to have for the holidays....it is a beautiful book with a wonderful story...the cd was an extra bonus and it came with an ornament....very very nice.....
