Step2 101-Piece Food Assortment

I was looking forward to receiving this food for my almost 2 year old and was not disappointed. She loves playing with the food. Because there are so many items, I took out about half of them and put them away to bring out later (there are doubles of a lot of the items). There is a great diversity of food items and quality of the items. It looks like the food was made by different manufacturers. Some of the items look very realistic, while others look like plastic. There are a couple of items that you ask, "What's that?" but most are identifiable and my daughter is learning the names of lots of food. I would definitely recommend this food set.

My daughter absolutely loves the food! She had so much fun taking every piece out and showing it to me. It's especially good because there are foods that she may not ever eat but it's good that she learns and knows what they are. There were a few pieces that are questionable, meaning I have no idea what they are either, but that's what your imagination is for right??!!

We couldn't believe all the different foods that were in this collection! Right now we have to be selective, having a one year old in the house. We bought this along with the Little Tikes shopping cart and placed only some of the bigger pieces of food in the cart. Having all the food out at once is too much, but as our daughter gets older, we can add more. There are some small pieces of food, so if you have little ones, you need to be selective. The food is great to use if you have a play kitchen as well. Our daughter loves it!

I have wanted to get this type of product for my 2 & 3 yr olds for quite a while, but was having a hard time finding it. I was very pleased to see that Wal-Mart.com had it and at such a reasonable price. The variety of food is great. The kids wake up and want to play with it right away and help make pretend meals for Mama & Daddy. It has also helped my 3 yr old son with his speech by giving him more of a desire to say and sound out the food as he's playing with it. I would recommend it for sure!!

I ordered this for my 3 1/2 year old and my 16 month old children to play with their kitchen they got for Christmas. It is just what the picture shows. I read on here that some customers were expecting boxes and can food items, but I did not see these in the picture I looked at. What I saw is what I got. They must have updated the picture. The kids love this set, there are so many foods they can pretend with, even sushi! They like the breaded shrimp and the pizza the best I think. Some of the items are a harder plastic and some are softer... the younger child has teeth marks in a few softer ones. But they love the foods and nothing has been a disapointment so far.
