VR5220 Digital Voice Recorder

Excellent sound quality, nice loud speaker when listening without headphones. Controls are fairly intuitive and instructions are easy to read & follow. It has a built-in USB connetion and in HQ mode the recordings are .WAV files. HQ mode will allow for up to 17 hours of recording plus the ability to back up and move files onto your computer hard drive. The .wav format means you can burn to CD's or convert to AAC and listen on your ipod. This is an excellent study tool, great for dictation, and potentially a good spy tool. :)

Got this Recorder just before a conference. It's almost everything I hoped for. The voice quality was better than a sony recorder my friend used. The built in usb port for transferring files to PC is awesome. As a nice touch the software for converting files from proprietary format to wave files is loaded in the recorder itself rather than a separate cd. The only downer is the battery life. The battery runs out in about 15 hours, which seems to be less than competing models. Not a big deal for me. But if you use it everyday it may be a good idea to get some rechargeables.

Once you figure out the many options on this little piece of magic you will wonder how on earth it wasn't more expensive. I love it. I record my devotional time and keep it in my car so I can play it back all day. Keep me inspired all day

This voice recorder does what I need it to do. It does not record in great quality, but it suffices. I am only a little unhappy with the USB plug--it barely fits into my USB port. Would be better with a small extension cable. However, this is easily obtainable with another small purchase.

I love it! the recorder is compact, and I don't have to worry about starting and stopping it, the voice activation is wonderful!
