We have had these for a little over year and a half, never been in dishwasher. From the start had problems with things sticking. Most of the pans are warped and lids don't fit correctly. Now the bottom has melted on one of the pots and after researching it found out apparently that is a common problem. So we're not only out a new set of pans but have to buy a 250.00 cooktop where we had molten metal on it. Would not recommend this product, research and decide for yourself. They have limited lifetime warranty but after reading what is not covered, I would say it is a VERY limited lifetime warranty.
I bought my PD cookware a year ago with wedding money for our new house and did all the prep with the baking soda soak and everything. The non-stick pans burn around the edges and are very difficult to get clean and the stainless steel burns up the sides, even with the burner turned down low, and the copper bottoms are discolored. I love Paula Dean and even own several cookbooks of hers, but would never buy another set of her cookware. Sorry Paula
I had placed this product on my wedding registry after talking to my future brother-in-law at the time as he's bascially a chef. He had told me pans with a copper bottom were great. So, I searched around and found these. I was thrilled when I received them as a gift from my husband's aunt & cousin. I have been using them for a little while now & am still pleased with the product. Only mistake I made was last night when I forgot to tell my husband to not turn the heat up more than on medium on our electric stove, when he decided to be sweet and start supper for me. So, my larger skillet turned a little blue - my fault, not his as I should've thought to tell him. Anyway, I used a little ketchup & so the blue is gone for now, but you can still see where the bottom has a difference in color, so I guess I'm gonna need to get a little copper cleaner & see if I can restore it back to how it looked before the mishap or not. Here's hoping I can as they are so pretty. I've not been using for very long yet, but I so far love them, despite needing a little TLC.
After using cookware that was purchased at moving sale for 10 years, I chose this set as my Xmas present to myself. Since OI have used the set less than one month, I do not really know the durability but there is no problem so far. I am happy with this nice shiny set. If it included a lid that fits the smaller skillet, it had been perfect.
We bought Paula Deen's pots because they were less expensive and because her name is on the product, but very quickly found it was not worth the cheaper price. The handles on the pots peeled very soon after we started using them. It took awhile for us to notice that it takes 10-15 minutes longer for water to boil than some of our other brands of pots. Sometimes we come home at lunch on weekdays and we have figured out it takes longer to cook our lunch if we use the Paula Deen pots than the other pots, so we don't use them as much anymore and we may just throw them out.
