Bissell Healthy Home Cyclonic Vacuum 6100

We've had this vacuum for 3 years. It sucks up dirt like a mad dog. I have to empty the dirt chamber thing all the time, but I used to only change my old bag vacuum every six months, so I'm glad it is picking up all the extra dirt. My main complaint is that the reason I am even on this site is because the door to the dirt chamber has broken for the second time - lame-o. Otherwise, super great vacuum with powerful sucking skills. Well, it is top heavy, that is an issue occasionally, but you can unhook the hose so that it is only connected at the bottom to help, it's just silly to have to do that. This was a complain on other websites. That was the worst that anyone said that I saw. It's tolerable. Otherwise then, they thought of everything else. I would really consider this the best vacuum I have ever owned. Wait, I love the extra power switch to run just the brush, that is cool.

Great vaccuum. I am very pleased with the way it removes dog hair from my carpet. The weight of this vaccuum is not an issued for me because I only have one level in my home. The light is a welcome feature. When you go to dump the dirt it creates a lot of dust which swirls back up and can get all over you. Overall, a fantastic vaccuum. I have no regrets with this purchase.

Other reviews mentioned a problem with the size and how heavy it was. I did not find this to be true at all. The bigger wheels made it easier to move the machine. I really enjoy this because my two children actually like to do, not only thier rooms, but others--without having to say it twice! They have fun with all the different attachments and like to see the results when all the dust bunners are gone! The only aspect I do not like is that it is awkward to carry. The handle at the top is the only grip, unless I am supposed to be using the removable cannister handle as well. This makes me nervous because I don't want it coming loose to where I drop at. Besides this point, I really LOVE it!

We have had this vacuum about 2 weeks and it is great!! We previously had a Kirby and it started smelling funny when we used it. We bought this vacuum online, (using the Site to Store shipping option) and so far, it is waayyyy better than the other one. We have been vacuuming almost every day and are still pulling up dirt that has probably been in the carpet for years. We can see it pulling up on the carpet as we are using it so the suction is really strong. Also, our son has a slight allergy problem but since we got this vacuum he hasn't been having the symptoms like before. Like others who have written reviews, (we did a lot of research before buying) I would say that it is a little heavier than most but the results are well worth it. It's hard to tell how it will perform over time since we have only had it a little while but so far we think that it is the best investment we have made in a long time.

I previously had a Kirby vacuum for 5 years, which I thought did a great job and I was happy with it. But over time I missed having onboard tools and I had seen the Bissell Heathly Home sometime back and thought it looked promising. After reading the good reviews on several sites, I decided to buy one. I must say that I'm impressed! I did a test. I vacuumed my living room with the Kirby like I normally would and then I used the Bissell. I was blown away by how much cat hair, dust, dirt, lint, and dander that was left beind. It was enough to loosely fill a quart canning jar! The ironic thing is that this is the same thing that convinced me to buy a Kirby. The sales lady poured salt on my carpet, vacuummed with my old one, and then used the Kirby to show all the salt left behind. The Kirby is a good vacuum and has served me well, but I got tired of always having to take off the floor cleaning head and attach the hose for using attachments. It saves me time to have everything on my Bissell. I have had my Bissell for 2 months now and have been giving it a big workout. Everytime I use it I am amazed at how much dirt it picks up. I have two cats and and anyone with pets knows how hard it is to fight the battle against pet hair. The turbo brush makes light work of cleaning the furniture. The sweeper head is low enough that it fits under most of my furniture. The vacuum is hefty, but a lightweight just doesn't do the job. This vacuum means business! The only thing that would make it better is if it had a suction control for the attachment wand. It can be hard to sweep light curtains because they get sucked up. All in all, I am extremely pleased with my purchase. My carpets look better than ever thanks to Bissell.
