[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had for 30 Days. Functioning as designed. Purchased to replace Kitchen-Aid that was over 25 years old. Hopefully this one will last that long!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this compactor to replace a vintage Whirlpool compactor that was in place, when we bought our home years ago. Was a perfect fit for the existing opening. It works great, but unfortunately, it has what I know is a safety feature, in that you have to press the power button each time, before pressing the start button. An extra step, that I wish this senior couple could override or bypass. I had hoped that maybe the new unit would have had some improvements to help muffle the sound a little better, but it's just a loud as the old vintage unit was, with a slight difference in tone. BUT, it IS a trash compactor & we were sort of used to the noise anyway, so it's livable.
