[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought two handscrews to use mostly to keep items square to jig something for my drill press. I checked all edges with a small try square. all corners are perfect 90 degrees and they stay that way in my cellar workshop. I think every serious woodworker needs at least two handscrews. I have found many other uses for the handscrews since I have them available. A good product that does what the manufacturer says it will do.
I've been using my handscrew clamps for years. I recently added the smaller ones to my growing collection. I even got my son calling them Jorgensen's instead of hand screws clamps. Very useful for not only clamping but holding pieces up right when assembling projects. When all else fails grab a Jorgensen and get it done.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this clamp last month for securing small pieces at the drill press. And it's awesome. The jaws hold small pieces firmly without slippage. The flat sides register against the table top and it keep my hands at a safe distance.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A little wear and ravages of time. More than 40 years of excellent use in my shop. Clamping a 4 in diameter wood sphere for drill press procedure was a recent success. Always ready for unusual situations.
I purchased 2 used Handscrews several years ago. they were old when I first got them- my guess is that they are from the 1940's or 1950's at least. I would also guess they were used in a local wood products shop for most of those years. They still work smoothly, clamp securely and they are the first clamp I reach for most of the time. I wish I could find more just like them. I have not purchased new ones because these take care of my woodworking needs. If the new ones are any where near the quality of my old ones, they are worth whatever the current cost is.!
