It's WD40. Nothing more needs to be said. With regards to the Non-Aerosol sprayers - I have had a few of the early models, the plastic ones. Good spray, but bad for durability. Knock them onto the floor and it's 50-50 if it will survive - at least in my shop. These new cans are excellent! And yeah, officially, you can't refill them. But I would bet that there is a legal reason why the company doesn't make them refillable, nor tell them you can. My feelings are if you use WD40, you are already pretty darn handy. You know which end of a screwdriver to use, and with a hammer, you hold the wooden part and hit the mail with the metal part. It's not too hard to figure out, you just need to trim off the bottom ring - much like a bottle of water or pop/soda. Do that - carefully - and you have a really nice, durable WD40 refillable spray bottle.
The top leaks. Every can I've bought leaks.
So much better in a cold garage, no worries about losing pressure.
This is super nice for flooding an area, like an old milling machine table or a lathe. It is deceiving though - you would think - you could simply remove the cap and refill. That is not the case. The company thought it best to make the spray head non-removable, without cutting part of the cap away. This is a very deceiving product. If I would have know this before buying - I would have just grabbed a cheap spray bottle & the gallon refill.
These are much better than the aerosol spray cans. No waste!
