Playtex Diaper Genie II Advanced Diaper Disposal System

I was very skeptical after reading the reviews, but I had a new mom friend who recommended the product. I recieved the pail for my baby shower, and love it. The pail holds a large quantity of soiled diapers. In my mind just the right amount, If you have ever held a heavy bag of soiled diapers, you wouldn't want it to hold any more. The pail is very easy to use, you just push the diaper through the top, and changing the bag is really easy, just follow the directions. Best of all it keeps the smell in.

I love this...but I don't use it for diapers. I use it for a trash can in the bathroom of my travel trailer . The TP that is made for RVs irritate us... so I buy reg TP which is also a lot cheaper by the way...and use the diaper genie instead of a trash can.Works great...fresh and clean it there :) Plus I can buy cheaper TP and it more than pays for the refills. When your babies grow up...save it for a trash can...Its Perfect :)

I bought this for my cat box waste sometime in June. It's now November, and I only now need to empty it for the first time. There's been absolutely no smell, and it's so easy to use. Setup was a literal snap. I would recommend this to anyone who owns a pet as well as new parents.

I don't understand all of these bad reviews. Many are saying that it is soo hard to open and requires both hands.. well I can open it with just one pinky it is so easy. I don't mind having to change the pail every 2 days or so either, I personally don't like the idea of having all those dirty diapers just sitting there for days and days anyways. I prefer to change it often. The refills are not expensive at all, I find them for around 5-6 dollars. It is a very good product in my opinion.

I purchased this product only because a friend of my had the Diaper Genie I for her daughter. The 2 products did not work the same! The refills for the Diaper Genie were no scented and the product was not AIRTIGHT. We always had the smell of dirty diapers whenever we were near the product. I actually began using the "Saftey First" disposable scented diaper bags. They work better than the Diaper Genie!
