[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Coming from a Galaxy Note 20 ultra this phone is slower when turning on and opening apps. The camera quality also is not the same. I bought the phone about 45 days ago and was listening to music on Spotify and it shorted out and never came back on. Verizon tested it and said it was defective and replaced it with a reconditioned phone instead of a new one. I was not happy about that considering I had just bought it. I hope they bring back the Note phones and will definitely switch back.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love that the Note series didn't go away completely. I use the pen very often in my job. The excellent specs and cameras make this phone work well for me. I upgraded from the Note 10+, and I am very happy I did, a year in and this phone is still head of the class.
The phone loses data connection from your network and has to be restarted constantly. Not the first Samsung phone to have issues with this. It's a really expensive brick that can't operate outside of your home wifi, every update they put out makes it disconnect more..
I pre-ordered the S22 Ultra the day it launched. I've had Samsung phones since I was a kid (my first Samsung was the N-spire) I had a Note10+ that I loved and was so excited to get my hands on the S22 Ultra. I LOVED it. It was such an upgrade from the Note10+. Until the last week of July. I was asleep at 6:30am and my phone started making a noise I had NEVER heard on any Samsung device EVER. I picked it up, and it was alarming that there was moisture/foreign debris in the charging port. I found that extremely weird because I plugged it in to charge at 10pm the night before and it was fine until 6:30am. I followed the recommended tips to fix it and plugged it back in and it was fine. It happened again later that day. I again followed the tips and it worked for a week with no issues. That problem is still ongoing. I have tried EVERYTHING, industrial air dusters, small little cleaner brushes, a hair dryer on low for 15 minutes and nothing has worked. I cannot cable charge my phone. Thankfully I had a wireless charger from years ago that works with the phone, only, I have to take my Samsung case off EVERY time I want to charge my phone. The positioning on the wireless charger is SUPER picky. If it moves even a hair it will stop charging. This has been the most frustrating experience.
Listen, for the little features they call upgrades, you won't miss them even if you tried out the 22 ultra. The Camera is garbage compared to the Note 20 regular. Auto HD is no longer an option, so your pictures are dark. The Flash Light is noticeably dimmer than the s20 note. There is no noticeable difference in processing speed, and the fact that they took away memory expansion means they are trapping you into spending hundreds of dollars more for adequate memory storage vs a few dollars for memory card. S22 Ultra is a rip-off.
