Loyal LG mobile device user (since Android 2.0!) I thought best watch for my current LG phone had to be the Watch Sport, as all I was really looking for was LTE when I couldn't carry my phone, making this device really the only game in town. I believed integration had to be a snap, especially since Google was so heavily involved in its development, this essentially becoming their long-rumored 'swordfish' watch. I've had it about 7 months now, and actually pretty happy..BUT it doesn't do the one thing I needed. When I turn on LTE, the watch shuts down as soon as I hit 'send' on the call, and cannot be turned on unless placed in the charging cradle. Must be software, as it does not exhibit this behavior until you load latest Wear OS; phone calls work fine in original factory settings. Very disappointing, the device held a lot of promise, this should have been Android's LTE Apple Watch killer (battery life really about the same)... I could recommend this device if the cell function were reliable. I have always believed LG should and still could be the market leader in Android devices; quality (can be) excellent..lately just missing the mark, something lacking in the testing/durability/usability development phase (seemed to begin around time of G5/V10 cpu meltdown issues). Double down and make the commitment to lead in the mobile space. It's a decades-long game, and still not too late to win! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I have owned the Watch Sport for almost two months. I have compared it with six other smart watches I have owned. There is a lot to like about this watch, some to argue about, and some real negatives. I like the looks, even though it is bulky. I like the screen, scroll knob, the many optional settings, the durable screen and case, and the standalone cellular feature. The Wear 2.0 operating system has limited the apps available for this watch. The watch does not come with a good browser, and the choices from the Play Store are poor. Chrome should have been included on the watch. I still have not been able to figure a way of transfering Chrome (or any music files) to the watch, as a File Transfer app was not included. Because of the wireless charger, a USB connection was not supplied. This means any file transfer must be done by Bluetooth or WiFi. The keyboard does not include a colon, so I have been unable to use the File Transfer app that is on my cell phone. The inablility to install a different type of band is also negative. It would have been better to use a standard 22mm band with pins. The band supplied has a nice color, but it is stiff and the loop that holds the loose end down slides out of position and frequently off the end of the band. I guess LG is expecting that the watch must be sent in for repair if the band needs replacement. The auto disconnect on the WiFi doesn't turn on with some apps, and the scroll knob doesn't work for some of the Wear 2.0 approved apps. Also, I have yet to get a Radio app to operate in a standalone use of the watch. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

My last watch was lg g watch one of the basic one and then I upgraded to this lg sport. I'm embarrassed to say this but my old g watch beats this lg sport at almost all the features. Hands down much faster to process things, battery lasts 3 days as compared to sport's 1 day, much better communication with google. Lg sport is so so iffy, sometimes it responds sometimes it does not, some time it will pickup things sometimes it just won't. Total waste of money. I've upgraded from LG Urbane W150 to this one, it is WAY faster and the screen looks amazing! I love the menu spinning button and it attracts a lot of attention everywhere I go - it's a beautiful device. The wireless charger is easy to use. I've not tried using this device with a simcard. The battery used to hold 2 days with screen off, now barely holds until I come back home. the GPS is very poor, it takes over 10 minutes to get a lock which is so dissapointing. Nevertheless, I'm sure that future software updates will solve those problems mentioned above. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I use the fitness app for I use the Google Fit app for running, weight lifting, and other training daily and love the convenience of not needing my phone. Weather is handy. Notifications are important for my business. GPS sync needs the phone before a run usually. The battery barely lasts the day but has not run down yet.
