My husband & I recently purchased this bedding & I fell in love with it. I guess since Im into the whole red & black theme this suited perfectly. Like other reviews posted they should have included sheets; however I did purchase black sheets seperately. Anyway I love this & so recommend it!

I love this comforter set. My friend had the same set and she loves hers. My husband and I are going with red and black for our bedroom. This bedding was a great addition to our room. It is of good quality and I have no complaints. We bought the 400 count red Egyptian Cotton sheets from Wal-Mart to match it. I recommend the sheets also.

I had another version of the red/black velvet scheme (roses) from HomeTrends and had no issues. I had this for a month and took it to wash and I ended up with four tears and purple-ish microfibres all over the comforter. I am extremely upset at myself for not reading the reviews more carefully. I had the last version it it held up so well in the washer that I assume it would be the same. Upset and broke so now I am stuck with a horribly torn comforter.

I was so excited to buy this comforter and get it on my bed. I washed it first, so it smelled fresh and clean. I already expected the velvet strips and swirls to pick up cat hair, but after using the lint brush on it a couple of times the I noticed I couldn't get all the lint up. Well it wasn't lint...it was the actual fibers from within the comforter that were pulling through. I even tried a fabric shaver to trim them down but it was so time consuming that I gave up. From afar the bedding looks gorgeous, but up close tons of white fibers are poking through giving it a linty look. The comforter is nice and heavy and since I put it on my bed I no longer use my electric blanket, but I wonder after loosing fibers all the time if it will eventually thin down a bit. I've had it for 1 month already, and I hope the shedding slows down or stops completely with time. The Wal-Mart Where I live only offered the 2 decorative pillows you will see in the photo, so that was a downside...I was hoping I could purchase the other ones online.

I absolutely loved this comforter. It was pretty much everything I wanted, beautiful, kept me warm, felt comfortable, and most of all got the job done. But when the time came to wash it, the black velvet lining started to rip at various different areas around it, even though i washed it exactly as the instructions had said. I want to buy another, although I am not sure if I would want to take it to the dry cleaners to keep it as beautiful as it is and should be every time it gets dirty.
