She got the trampoline for her 6th birthday. The biggest problem is keeping the other kids out of our yard. My husband had no problem putting it together, but he's a pretty handy guy. My dad helped him (2 at a time) on the ladder putting the net up, which is also another great feature. My sister's trampoline net is tied around the bottom. This one attaches to the springs directly, so there's no chance of ripping or tearing. We love it! Let me know if you have any hints for keeping other kids away! :)
READ ALL DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY!!!! And LOOK AT PICTURES FOR SPECIFIC Placement of springs!!! AND Legs! We Love this Trampoline! It was a painless assembly. And It seems VERY safe! My 2 and 4 year old can run straight into the net and theybounce right off. It seems like the mat is designed to not let them bounce way to high ( like my old trampoline did). And the extra 1 foot between the 14 and 15 foot is well worth the money! We highly suggest having a PLYERS on hand the use to get the springs into where they belong.
We have only had this a week, but the kids think it is awesome! They are 5, 4, and 3. The only things I can find that I might mention are 2 things. My husband put it together by himself. It took several hours, approx. 3 1/2. The only problem he had was that the directions for attaching the springs was not clear and didn't make much sense(regarding placement and spaces). He ended up just attaching them as evenly spaced out as he could on his own, disregarding their spacing technique. If you are putting this together, then what I said will make more sense. If you haven't yet, then sorry if that is confusing. The other thing is that the trampoline is very springy and has a lot of give. Hopefully that doesn't mean much down the line, but what I remember from many years ago was a tighter trampoline, but maybe it's just because I'm a little heavier now :) Otherwise, it is entertaining the kids, the enclosure works great and we hope to have it for a LONG time!
We picked up this product on Christmas Eve, put it together the day after Christmas and the kids loved it. We thought it was perfect. However, the next morning a storm blew through and picked the trampoline up, flipped it and the trampoline landed halfway in a tree. Needless to say, it was severly damaged. I was surpised to find that our neighbors trampoline hadn't moved, even though it wasn't staked down either. We've emailed the company to see about replacement parts...hopefully, they'll come through. Otherwise, we just wasted a lot of money! If you do purchase it, find a way to stake it down.
The trampoline is larger than we thought and takes up quite a bit of room in the backyard. It's a great purchase and our kids and their friends love it. We have a 2 and 3 year old so I definately suggest the safety net if you have young children. The kids like to play on the net so I don't know how long it will last though.
