4K Ultra HD Blu-ray + Digital HD. A team of fur trappers deals with the harsh wilderness in the Dakota Territory. Hugh Glass finds himself attacked and mauled by a bear. This movie depicts the essence of the Mountain Man, Trapper of the Northwest of the 1800's and early 1900's. Hugh Glass was a childhood hero of mine, a mentor of mine in my early years. I was inspired by reading books about his life to hunt, fish, trap and become a true outdoorsman. I dreamed of moving to Alaska or the Northwest U.S. and live like he and many others did. I managed to do everything except to move. Still very inspiring and a very real depiction of the life and times of the Mountain Man.
