[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Bonide Captain Jack's DeadBug Brew Dust from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. This stuff works great! I was having trouble this year with my pepper plants being attacked by bugs but a little sprinkle of this brew dust and they are gone! Super easy to use it had a shaker side so a few shakes and your plant is covered by this dust and protected. Fast acting too and now my plants look happy and healthy.

I don't like to use sprays on my plants especially edible ones because I feel like I'm eating the spray. Captain Jacks DeadBug Brew Dust I can just sprinkle on the dirt and water! I have found little to know insects on my plants and see a healthy plant!

I had an infestation of aphids, thrips, and spirdermites for years that were causing plants to grow deformed, not grow at all, and leaves turn yellow and fall off. I've tried all sorts of products but some of them would damage delicate leaves. Captain Jack's Deadbug Brew is the first to kill them all without damaging plants. My plants are all starting to grow normally now! This concentrated version is economical. Just make a solution with water and apply with a spray bottle. Caution: spinosad is a neurotoxin and can harm humans and animals such as your cats, dogs, fish and shrimp. So be careful where this pesticide is applied so that your pets won't be exposed.

My husband is the gardener in the family and he was excited to try this. He's used other products from Captain Jacks and has been pleased with the results. Unfortunately, this product didn't have the same results. It was a bit tricky to dispense the dust in an effective way. Once it was on the plants, it didn't do much to the pests that we have (aphids, hornworms, and shield bugs). Maybe it works better on other bugs. He has since applied even more dust, so I will update my review if the second round does any better. We really wanted to love this because of the statement that it is great for organic gardening.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This container is a convenient dust applicator once opened it has a big side and shaker side. You just have to shake it over the plants that you want to be treated. You just need to gently push the sides of the canister in and rapidly squeeze and release in order to get a bellows dusting effect. This didn't really work for me but it did for my husband. I myself got covered in the dust and needed to shower. Follow the instructions for each plant that you have that is needing a dusting. We have rose bushes, vegetable plants and etc that needed it pretty good along with others. I can't say how well it has worked as I personally haven't really noticed a major change in the leaves. However maybe I will be able to tell something soon.
