Aquadots Super Studio

This was a big item on my daughter's birthday list. I read the reviews here to help me determine if this was a good gift for a 5-yr old. After seeing that there was a lot of disappointment I contacted a friend who has one to ask her advice. I mentioned to her that people were complaining that the beads didn't stick together and projects fell apart. She discovered that if you spray the heck out of it, let it dry thoroughly, then flip it over and do the same for the other side that it would be okay. We got it for her birthday and this technique works! End result: Don't expect it to work as it does on TV. Your kids will not be able to spray it, dry it, and play with it immediately. It takes more time than the directions state, but as long as you (and your child) know what to expect then they will still have a fun time with it. P.S. Buy the extra beads, they will go through them fast!

My daughter saw this product on television, and asked for it for her birthday. She is thrilled with it. I appreciate that it is NOT a big mess. Spray water on the beads, let them dry, they stick together. The refill beads are a bit expensive--almost $10.

My daughter received these for her birthday, and couldn't wait to use them. However, she had trouble getting the dots in the right place, and would accidentally knock other dots out of place. She quickly lost interest, and told me to just finish it. The drying took a lot longer than the instructions say, so she became frustrated with all the waiting. Then after her creation was finally dry, and she picked it up to show her dad, one dot still fell off. It's put away in the closet now and I don't anticipate her asking to get it back out anytime soon.

I bought this for my 3 year old and she loves it. It took two or three times for her to get the hang of it. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't always stick together. You have to get exactly the right amount of water. As far as she is concerned it is great. Plus it is a mess free activity

Well i bought this product for my child and she loved it!! The only problem was when she went to spry the water on the dots to dry she left her finger on it while it was drying and her finger seemed impossible to get unstuck. Although after a few minutes and a lot of olive oil it got loose and unstuck.
