HoMedics MyBaby Soundspa Portable Baby Sound Machine

This was a replacement for a discontinued homedics sound machine that we loved. The sounds are not as “full” as I had hoped. I don't find the sounds to be near as soothing As previous homedics sound machines. I even consider them to be harsh. It, does, however still help our baby sleep, so that was the real issue that it needed to cover.

Ordered this one for my kids room as it plugs into the wall and has option to run all night instead of only on a timer. My only issue with it is volume control. You just click a button to increase/decrease volume but its either too loud or too quiet.. it needs to have more volume options. I ended up just leaving it louder but moving it further away from the kids. All in all its a pretty good little machine so far.

I bought this as my two granddaughters had one but not like this and I liked the ocean sound so I got one for my house. When two of the great granddaughters spend the night it is in the room they sleep in and I can hear it through the baby monitor, the other nights I have it in my room and the ocean lulls me to sleep. I have used the lullaby tune for the 15 month old when she naps. I would recommend this to anyone. I like the fact also that it has an on/off button, my granddaughter said hers she has to unplug. This is worth the money which was that much.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over the years we have used various sleeping aids when our eldest son (6) and youngest daughter (4) were infants. We had ceased using these items for about 3 years until about 2 months ago when our daughter was having trouble sleeping again. Upon unpacking the Soundspa I was impressed with the neat, compact and lightweight but sturdy nature of the product. The controls were clearly marked and easy to understand. Initially I was impressed to find the required 4 AA batteries included. There are 6 varying sounds to choice from, all seem suitable though Brooks and White Nose worked best with our 4 year old and was a great aid in helping her fall asleep. The ability to set set the timer for up to 60min is a great benefit as it means that we do not have to go back into our daughter's room to switch the Soundspa off. On average since using the SoundSpa the time to get our daughter asleep has reduced from about 30-40 min to 15 min. The volume control is as you would expect on a device of this nature. We would regularly travel long distances by car and our daughter would not be the best of passengers, as she would regularly get uncomfortable and upset. The ease of taking the Soundspa with us on these journeys was one of its strong selling points. It has been very successful in calming our daughter on these journeys thus making everyone's journey more relaxing and enjoyable. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable product and value for money. Like a number of reviews you can read, the 4 rating is due to the lack of a charger being provided with the product.

He loves background noise to get to sleep and this offers a selection of sounds his favourite being the lullabys. I would definitely recommend and its doubly good because of its portability.
