This is a great product. The scent is absolutely beautiful and my edges stayed down with no problems. It softens and hydrated it. I did not experience any white flakes like most edge treatments. And it last longer if you use the whole set honestly.

This is a great product that does exactly what it says! Please don't discontinue and run that "max hold gel" in it's place! The product says Strengthen and Restore Edge Control; it is spot on. I wear protective styles often, keep my natural hair very healthy, and use other Shea Moisture products to manage all of the above.I keep my edges long and healthy using this product. For those who are expecting a gel hold, they are misreading the product then writing a review based on their confusion. It completely controls your edges if used as directed. Put it on your edges at night or while dressing, wrap your silk scarf on your head and sleep or finish your morning routine. In minutes, your edges are neat and protected, without greasiness (don't use too much, a little goes a long way). Don't use this everyday. Every other night is how I use it, sleep with my silk scarf and wake to growing, beautiful edges. Sorry for the long review but I adore this product and I'd hate for it to be discontinued based on the reviews of people who can't figure out how to use top notch hair products.

I ordered shea moisture for my edges along with the shampoo and conditioner. I needed this product bad because I was completely bald around my hair edges and I was ashamed causing me to wear a wig. After trying all kinds of different products I almost gave up. I being using shea moisture products for 2 weeks now and I can actually see new growth around my edges and I can see a difference in my hair. This product really gave me confidence in myself.

the lightest of the product....doesnt leave your hair greasy and when putting on at night, you will wake up to a lil wavy pattern on your edges. looking forward to seeing how it does.

I laugh when reading some reviews that complain about this product not holding edges down. I guess some people really don't read!! How can you apply any product to your precious locks without reading exactly what it is?!?? That is unbelievable to me. This is an excellent product! It does exactly what it says it will. This is a holy grail product for sure.
